The Tangaroa Goby is a beautiful species from the Indo-Pacific that is opaque in color with many red and white flecks covering the entire body. They have a very dramatic, long dorsal fin that is black in coloration. This species is commensal with alpheidshrimps, with a fish and shrimp sharing a burrow. They are a wonderful fish for a passive fish only or reef aquarium, and may form a symbiotic relationship with a pistol shrimp.
