Also known as:: The Spotted Hawkfish. A very unique looking Hawkfish is white with red-brown spots that run diagonally along the body. They have small tufts of bright yellow on the tips of their dorsal fin ray called cirri. They can be found over a wide range, from the Red Sea to the west coast of South America and the east coast of Africa. However, this fish is most common in the Indo-Pacific area. The Falco or Spotted Hawkfish should not be mistaken for Cirrhitichthys aprinus.
